Jarmara was the fictional representation of Grant Morrison's cat.

Creation

Jarmara was created by Grant Morrison and Charles Truog. She made her first appearance in Animal Man #8. She is based on Grant Morrison's cat, Jarmara.

Major Story Arcs

Animal Man

Jarmara died of a punctured lung some time prior to Animal Man's emergence into the fictional reality. She is used by Morrison to reflect on the nature of death and suffering in comic books and in real life.
