Malignant and murderous, Kancer began its life inside the body of a kryptonite-poisoned body of Superman. Stolen from S.T.A.R. Labs after its removal, the alien carcinoma was mutated into a monster by the evil General Zod.

Kancer's toxic touch breaks down living cellular structures. Kancer also has the abilities of superstrength, speed, stamina, invulnerability, and flight. He is a vaguelyhumanoid green mass that is encrusted with calcified crystaline growths.
