Karel Sorensen was both a beauty model and an expert markswoman living on Earth during the 22nd Century. Along with her two friendly rivals, Rick Purvis (playboy/athlete) and Homer Glint (novelist/sportsman), Karel was independently wealthy - wealthy enough to own her own personal spacecraft, which was still considered something of a luxury.

Not content to let life simple pass them by while they idled away the hours, the trio found themselves involved with adventures that threatened the very existence of the Earth. In an attempt to overcome these threats, Karel and her fellow Star Rovers would experience separate adventures and emerge triumphant, each one convinced that only he or she had the proper solution to the main threat.

Usually, however, it was only when they compared theories that the Star Rovers would discover the true solution to the problem.

The group acted independent of any official Earth organisation, and their exploits often went unheralded, allowing them to maintain a certain amount of anonimity and valued privacy.
