A member of the Major Crimes Unit on the Gotham City Police Department, Soong was initially teamed with Harvey Bullock. He was nicknamed 'Survivor', as he came safely through many dangerous situations, most notably being shot by a bullet intended for his partner, though the injury cost him one of his kidneys. Soong was present at James Gordon's retirement dinner, and is still a police detective, but it is not known where he serves.
