Lex-El was the son of Jor-El and Lara on Krypton. Lara died on Krypton, Lex-El and his father left Krypton before it exploded. Their rocket ship crash landed and caused the deaths of bank robbers Jonathan and Martha Kent. Jor-El gives Lex-El the Earth name of Lex Luthor. Jor-El took the name Jordan Luthor and worked as a doctor. Lex obtained super-powers on Earth but his father didn't. Lex becomes Superboy and later Superman. His arch-nemesis is Clark Lang; the surviving son of bank robbers Jonathan and Martha Kent. Clark was put at the steps of the Smallville Orphanage by Dr. Markem; Clark was adopted by the Lang family.
