Major Max is a member of the Retaliators of earth-8. She is inspired in Marvel Comics' Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. She was one of the Retaliators who went against the crew of the Ultima Thule when their earth was attacked by the Gentry. Along with Fireball she defended her world when a possessed Nix Uotan attacked earth 8's New York.
She has been part of several missions with the Retaliators, including facing an invasion of the dark multiverse to face the rise of the Extremists. When the Extremists caused again the defeat of the Retaliators, Major Max was among the the fallen. However she was restored, same as with her teammates, when Lord Havok and Dreamslayer brought back their world to life, thanks to the powersof the Adjudicator.
It was confirmed than a previous Major Max existed and their adventures were chronicled in earth-4 by comicbook artist Vincent Harley. This Major Max was an analog to Captain Mar-Vell.
