Morgan Edge was looking to revitalize the WGBS evening news like the major networks by adding a female co-anchor for Clark Kent. Morgan Edge removed the responsibilities of Associate Producer from Clark Kent. And, hired Martin Korda as the new Associate Producer of the WGBS 6 o'clock news in Superman #316. However, he was abducted and his appearance was used by Metallo to gain access to the Galaxy Communications Building. After recovering from injuries sustained by Metallo he returned to assume his role as an Associate Producer in Superman #330.
