Nasty's first appearance is in "Adventure Comics vol 1 #397" in Sept 1970. In the Super Fe-Mail section of "Adventure Comics #401", the editor Mike Sekowsky explains that 'Nasty' is the daughter of Lex's older un-named sister, not his younger sister Lena Thorul-Colby.

Lex Luthor's niece and a criminal mastermind in her own right. She enrolls in Stanhope University to stalk Linda Danvers and expose her as Supergirl. She's aided by her gang "Nasty's Nasties" and her Uncle Lex. She is the daughter of Lex's older sister (not Lena), who like Lex, was disowned by Jules (Lionel) and Arlene Luthor as a teenager.
