Nightshadow is character in the Jim Starlin saga Gilgamesh II. As it name implies, Gilgamesh II is a retold of the epic poem of Gilgamesh, as a science fiction story. Nightshadow, in this story represents Humbaba, a monster than stalked the world and it was killed by Gilgamesh and Enkidu.
Depiste its monstrous appearance, Nightshadow was an intelligent creature who was hidding in some ancient ruins. The creature killed hundred of men before Gilgamesh Bonner and Otto stopped it.
