Origin

Nothing is known about Philip Schale or his origins. A lawyer, he opened the Philip Schale and Associates law office at some point in his life.

Creation

Philip Schale was created by John Ostrander, Kim Yale, and Luke McDonnell. He made his first appearance in Deadshot #2.

Major Story Arcs

Beginnings

Philip Schale is hired by Genevieve Lawton to coordinate the abduction of her own grandson, Eddie Lawton, in order to blackmail her son, Floyd Lawton, into killing her husband, George Lawton. Schale hires Danny Anselm and his crew to carry out the abduction. Later, once the boy has been taken he is assaulted by Deadshot, who shoots through both his hands in order to get information on where the child is. He is taken to the hospital where he orders Andy Haskell to have the child moved. Later, he is removed from the hospital by Haskell, who takes him to a secluded location and shoots him in the head in an effort to curry favour with Deadshot.

Powers and Abilities

Philip Schale is an ordinary human with no known superhuman powers or abilities. He is a trained attorney and presumably fairly intelligent.
