Creation

The Queen of the Buggers was created by writer John Ney Rieber and penciler Gary Amaro. Her first appearance was in The Books of Magic issue 10, in 1995.

Major Story Arcs

The Queen of the Buggers appeared in Reverend Slaggingham's underground sewer kingdom, where Daniel sees her playing chess with Awn the Blink.

The Queen, Awn, and many other beings were created by Tim Hunter when he was a lonely young boy and his imagination sought to simultaneously explain the world and fill it with playthings.

Many of the creations' names were based on puns, misheard expressions, or other wordplay. The Queen of the Buggers looks like a queen with a beehive dress, with bees flying around.
