Peril from the Past
Adam Strange, Alanna and Rad follow the trail of where the flying ships came from and this leads them to Rubella, a city state a thousand years dead, and Rad's home.
Rad runs off into the empty city and when Adam and Alanna find him he is crying in front of a statue of Kulluu the Great Centauri. Rad explains that when Kulluu attacked the city a thousand years ago his father fought back but to no avail so to save Rad, he "put him in a metal bed". This saved Rad by sending him into the future to be found by Adam and Alanna.
Out of anger Rad shoots the statue, which brings it back to life and it attacks the trio.
Rad leads them back to his father lab, where Adam uses a odd machine to trap Kulluu, but before deciding what to do with Kulluu, the machine teleports the creature to the future.
The three remaining heroes then hear a message from Rad's father that he controlled the machine from the future to send Kulluu to them so they could destoy it.
The beam then blasts Rad, sending the boy home to his family in the future.
