Origin

When the Old God Ajna was younger, she was beautiful, brilliant and in love with her father Olgrun. With the help of her uncle Byla she created the Darkstar Ring, but something happened and Ajna was killed. Her father went mad and threatened to destroy the universe. Byla was able to stop Olgrun path of destruction and trap him in a prison inside the Dark Star.

Time later, Ajna awoken from death but she had been transformed into the Revenant Queen. The Dark Star Ring she had created gave her the power to control the Radiant Dead, an army of undead, that can spread their plague to those the kill or just touch.

The Revenant Queen was defeated by John Stewart or another Mulitverse but not before killing all of the Green Lantern's of that Universe, except Caolán Sheperd. The Queen escaped through a portal to Earth-0 and Sheperd followed.

Creation

The Revenant Queen was created by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and first appeared in Action Comics #1041 in a flashback story told by Byla, but her story expanded in Johnson's Green Lantern: War Journal series.
