Born to the Golden Age Red Lantern Vladimir Sokov, Ruby has an innate connection to the Crimson Flame. The Soviet Union recognizing her potential abducted her at birth, an act which triggered her father rebellion. As she grew older and learned more about her history Ruby went on a violent crusade to find her father which inevitable drew the attention of the Justice Society of America.

Ruby Sokov was created by Geoff Johns (W) and Mikel Janin (A) in Justice Society of America #1 as part of The New Golden Age initiative.
