Origin

Sam was molested by his father at a young age, a fact he never told his older brother Ford. Then after Sam's father threw his mother out a second story window, Sam life changed from bad to worse. In his young adult life Sam would molest young girls and became an enforcer for his own parole officer's illegal dealings.

Sam was created by Joe Kelly and Ted McKeever for their Enginehead series

Major Story Arcs

Enginehead

Sam and his brother Ford were leg-breakers/enforcers for Grimes, a crooked parole officer. Sam had just gotten done arguing with his older brother, when Ford disappeared. Ford returned sometime later as Enginehead. Realizing Sam was "flawed", Enginehead removed his pelvic area and the part of his mind that allowed him to cause harm to others or himself.

Sam, now fully aware of the grief he caused the young girls, was unable to kill himself and Ford promised to kill Sam if he'd help him find the "great flaw". Sam who would rather be dead then live with the guilt of what he has done agrees.

His first mission is to go to Leadbelly, Arizona, while there he finds something interesting and calls Enginehead to the abandon town. While there he witnesses Enginehead's battle with the Metal Men, his defeat to the Justice League, his destruction by Roy Lincoln and his rebirth as a city for the homeless and unwanted.

Sam is last seen entering the new city with the rest of the unwanted.
