Server Aja has not been seen since the defeat of her master Kestrel in the Chaos Dimension. None of the post-battle events shows what happened to Server Aja, which leaves her current state or whereabouts a complete unknown.
Origin
Zhang Xiaomei is the privileged daughter of a former Chinese national who made billions exporting cheap labour to Western industrialists. Zhang is obsessed with a life in the electronic world, and has acquired extensive cybernetic implants to augment her inborn metahuman abilities. She took the name Server Aja upon joining a group of young metahuman criminals who were all from similar wealthy backgrounds.
Creation
Server Aja was created by writer Gail Simone and artist Rob Liefeld in 2005. Server Aja makes her first appearance in Teen Titans #27 - Legacy Part 1.
Server Aja is visually very similar to Void, a character that played a prominent role in the WildC.A.T.s comics by Wildstorm. Wildstorm became a publishing imprint of DC Comics in 1999 and was shut down in 2010.
Major Story Arcs
Server Aja and her allies are in the middle of a failed heist turned hostage situation when the Teen Titans intervene, and defeat them. Server Aja reveals that they chose that specific day to commit their crime because it was Father's Day, suggesting that the involved metahumans all had issues with their wealthy fathers. When the police van transporting them to prison is attacked by Kestrel - a servant of the Lords and Agents of Chaos - he offers two of the metahumans the chance to be his minions, implying that the other two must be killed. After a brief battle Server Aja and Cross Christina emerge from the police van. They then engage the Teen Titans once more, revealing that the power imbued by Kestrel has turned them into his slaves.
Teen Titans follow Kestrel to the Chaos Dimension. Sitting at the feet of Kestrel's throne, a stammering Server Aja announces that the Titans have arrived, which leads Cross Christina to suggests that Kestrel's gift of power 'broke her mind'. During the battle with the Teen Titans Cross Christina betrays Kestrel, allowing the Teen Titans to win the day. What happens to Server Aja is left unknown.
