The original Shatterfist was a Korean villain, enemy of the Justice League. He first appeared in Justice League of America #234 (January, 1985). He was a master martial artist. He served in various incarnations of the Cadre but was eventually killed by Ice. In Green Lantern #51 (May, 1994), a new Shatterfist was introduced. This one is American but otherwise very similar to his predecessor. He has served in newer incarnations of the Cadre. He has a "disintegration touch".
