Origin

Abigail was a bright student and that caught the eye of her mentor, Thomas Elliot. He took her in at Gotham Genral and taught her medicine and how to fight. In return she would cover for him when would leave for mysterious personal reasons.

Then when Thomas Elliot came out as the villain Hush the hospital discovers Abigail covered for him and she was fired and disgraced. She then became a teacher at Gotham Heights Highschool. There she felt excepted but like she was still meant for more.

Sometime later she was introduced to the Cult of Man-Bat and met Man-Bat, who convinced her that it was not Thomas's fault she lost her career but Batman's. Abigail then took on the persona of Shush.

During the day she taught at the school with Principal Stone, in charge and at night she would help Man-Bat with his evil plans.

Creation

Shush was created by Joshua Williamson and Simone Di Meo for their series Batman and Robin. Her origin and backstory were told in issue #9, Cool Kids' Table.
