Skronk is aficionado of visual action literature then the Poglachians came and gave him a power ring which Skronk uses to create all the visual action literature he ever wanted, shrink wrapped.

Skronk is part of the group of Poglachian Green Lanterns Corps who attack Guy Gardner under the orders of the Polglachians who were pretending to be the true Guardians of the Universe. Guy was defeated and taken away, when he returned to Polglachian's home world, Skronk was there to attack him again but due to Guy actions the Poglachian created power rings disappeared. In stead of beating up Skronk and his team Guy felt bad for them and was going to send them each home.
