Very little is known about Soapy. At some point, possibly in Captain Falsebeard's day, he descended into New York's subway system and joined the subway pirates operating there. Sometime after that the secret map of the subways was tattooed on his back.
Creation
Soapy was created by Grant Morrison and Cameron Stewart. He made his first appearance in Seven Soldiers: Guardian #1.
Major Story Arcs
Seven Soldiers of Victory
Soapy is attacked by a rival pirate crew, the Dead Dogs. His back is flayed by No-Beard, who steals his tattoo map and leaves him behind. He is later captured by his former crew, the Sun Lubbers. He is set on fire by All-Beard and dragged, burning, behind the train, to his death.
