Gu Lao was the first recruit of the Great Ten. His suit was reverse engineered from a Durlan spacecraft captured by the Chinese government. Gu Lao himself is radioactive but it has not been explained how or why this is.
As the Socialist Red Guardsman, Lao believes strongly in the Communist party, but has become disillusioned with it as of late because of the trend towards capitalism, something he was designed to combat.
Powers and Abilities
The Socialist Red Guardsman is highly radioactive, so in order to contain his massive energies, he needs to wear a containment suit at all times. He can fire powerful beams of energy capable of harming Black Adam, and the ability of flight.
