Origin

Little is known about Steel Fury before he attacked Coast City, other than he found Manhunter Armor in the river and used it to become a menace to downtown.

Creation

Steel Fury was created by Jeremy Adams for his series Green Lantern volume 8. He only appeared in two issues and his origins were left a mystery.

Steel Fury attacked downtown Coast City, blasting building with green beams and allowing bullets to bounce off his armor. Things were going good for the villain until he blindsided with a pick-up truck, driving by Hal Jordan. Hal then starts to beat on Steel Fury until Steel Fury blasts Hal with his beams.

Instead of turning the former Green Lantern to ash, like the beams did to everything else, the beam power up Hal, turning him into Green Lantern.

With these new powers, Green Lantern easily beats Steel Fury and leaves him for the police to arrest.
