Origin

Strafe was the Sinestro Corps member of Sector 563 during the period the Green Lanterns were gone and the Sinestro Corp was in charge of policing the galaxy. He was killed by Sinestro for disobeying orders.

Creation

Strafe was created by Robert Venditti and Rafa Sandoval for their series Hal Jordan & The Green Lantern Corps.

Strafe and other Sinestro Corp members were sent to Chall'enn to capture Hal Jordan, a mission they accomplish, with the help of the Fear Engine empowering their rings and Hal's Green Lantern Ring malfunctioning.

On the way back to Sinestro, Strafe is appoarched by Soranik Natu and ordered to hand over Hal's uncousious body. Strafe obeys viewing Soranik as Sinestro's daughter and second in command.

This was a trick by Soranik and she ran off with Hal, to heal him so he could take down Sinestro. When Sinestro learns this, he rips Strafe in half for disobeying his orders to bring him Hal.
