Origin
Very little is known about Strato. Apparently originally from Japan, at some point he came into the employ of Don Vincenzo, the Undying Don. He rose to be one of the Don's most trusted lieutenants.
Creation
Strato was created by Grant Morrison and Simone Bianchi. He made his first appearance in Seven Soldiers: Shining Knight #2.
Major Story Arcs
Seven Soldiers of Victory
Strato attends Don Vincenzo, and is present on his compound when the Don comes under attack by the Sheeda, lead by Neh-Buh-Loh. He joins in the Don's doomed charge against the Sheeda, and dies there in battle against Neh-Buh-Loh.
Powers and Abilities
Strato is referred to as an "air-golem." He appears to possess the power of weather manipulation to some degree; possibly related specifically to clouds and precipitation. He is skilled with swords. He appears to be quite strong and physically fit.

Strato possesses a two-handed sword resembling a katana.
