Sunflower Bonner is a character in the Jim Starlin saga Gilgamesh II. As it name implies, Gilgamesh II is a retold of the epic poem of Gilgameshas a science fiction story.
In this story, Sunflower in an approach to the goddess Ishtar, who in the original story offered her love to Gilgameshis but it was rejected by the hero. In a more parodic style, Sunflower acts a s the adoptive mother of Gilgamesh, a suffocating mother who gaslight her son to use him as a way to gain power for herself.
