Creation

Superdoom was created by Action Comics writer Grant Morrison and was first drawn by Gene Ha in Action Comics #9 - The Curse of Superman; Executive Power.

Origin

Created by a solid thought machine, originally invented by that universe's Clark, Lois and Jimmy but later acquired by the Little Man's Overcorp, Superdoom is in many ways the exact opposite of Superman. Jumping from universe to universe he finally made his way to Earth-23 where he was eventually defeated by that Earth's Superman with the aid of Lex Luthor and banished to the multiverse.

Superdoom would appear again when instigued by the little man give prime-earth´s Luthor the same dreams which driven him to build a copy of the machine than earth-23 Luthor made and let Superdoom enter main earth universe under the control of Vyndktvx. Powered by the energy of the 5th dimensional being, Superdoom attacked Superman, with growing strengh. However shorty after the defeat of his master, Superdoom triggered a self destruction system. Superman could put him in a safe distance where he blow up, without any further damage to anyone.

During Multiversity he appeared to have been revived and fought alongside the other heroes of the Multiverse against The Gentry.

Rebirth

Superdoom was among the many Supermen of the Multiverse who were kidnapped by the Prophecy to steal their powers, but they were freed by the Justice Incarnate.

Infinite Frontier

Superdoom later joined the Injustice Incarnate an interdimensional team of villains called by Darkseid to ensure that the worlds of the Multiverse would remain separate.

Powers and Abilities

Superdoom is a living thoughtform, embodying a corruption of the idea of Superman.

  • Heat Vision: Superdoom has been shown to emit beams from its eyes capable of harming President Superman.
  • Superhuman Strength: Superdoom's strength is variable, his power increases the more people buy into his ideal.
  • Size Alteration: A living franchise that "gets bigger and bigger the more you think of it", Superdoom increases in size and strength as more people come to believe in what it represents.
