When Superman investigates a cries for help coming from a small village in the Caucasus Mountains in Georgia, he finds mercenaries and wolves under the mind control of The Machinist. After dealing with The Machinist's soldiers in Georgia, Superman learns that The Machinist is using mind control soldier all over the globe, and he learns that The Machinist is using LexCorp technology as well.

Later when Superman and Lex Luthor team-up, Lex convinces Superman The Machinist stole is tech, they attack The Machinist secret headquarters on the Kashmir/India border, but The Machinist was prepared for this.

He had made special mind control tech to get past Luthor's suit's defenses and take control of Luthor's mind, and orders him to attack Superman.

While the pair fight, The Machinist believes to have won, but his plans are ruined when Luthor overrides the mind control tech and Superman is able to defeat the Machinist's army.

The Machinist removes his mask and tries to sneak away in the confusion but is caught by Superman and his X-ray vision.

Later Luthor learns that The Machinist was working with Mr. Oz.
