Golden Age
The Three Devils were a group of three former circus acrobats who turned to crime using their abilities to rob jewels and later sell them to fences. Working in Gotham City, they eventually faced up with Batman and Robin. In their first battle the devils managed to escape the dynamic duo.
Batman and Robin fought the devils once more, but the villains escaped again, this time however Robin managed to follow them and found their hideout. The Devils attempt to kill Robin but the boy wonder escapes. Once reunited with Batman, the dynamic duo foil the Devils next caper. In the ensuing battle at the top of the Capitol State Building, one of the Devils falls to and Batman sends the other two to theirs shortly after.
Silver Age
A strikingly similar trio appears in the silver age. Batman and Robin refer to the group as the Daredevils, who are described as three circus acrobats turned jewel thieves. While their costumes are slightly different, the group has the same motif and even use the same fence from the golden age story. At the end of this encounter the Daredevils are arrested.
