History

Horace Lafeaugh originally had the ability to extend his unbreakable tusks to extreme lengths. When he displayed his ability to the Legion of Super-Heroes in hopes of joining, he was rejected on the grounds that his power was impractical. Years later, Horace went on a crime spree with his girlfriend, fellow reject Eyeful Ethel. They were defeated by the Legion of Substitute-Heroes.

Over time, Horace's powers evolved. No longer having just unbreakable tusk, he now had an unbreakable skeleton and enhanced durability, becoming a gray-skinned behemoth. Horace and Ethel later joined the Justice League of Earth, a group of Earth-born Legion rejects obsessed with spreading lies about Superman's origin and discrediting the Legion. However, the League was brought down by the combined might of Superman, the Legion, and the Subs. Horace and Ethel were sent to Takron-Galtos.

A short while later, Superboy-Prime freed the inmates of the prison planet, and formed a new version of the Legion of Super-Villains, including the Fatal Five, the Justice League, and just about every other enemy the Legion ever faced. Horace and the Justice League attacked the United Planets during the chaos the L.S.V. started in Metropolis. The League was going to kill the President of Earth, "for crimes against humanity", when Horace had his synapses fried by Lightning Lad.
