Virus was a group of young people who were chosen by the United Planets to join the Legion of Super Heroes, however the lack of control of her powers resulted in her rejection alongside the rest of the group by Legion leader Lightning Lad. The teenagers were then formed into the group known as the United Planets Young Heroes,but this group met with disastrous results.

Virus possessed the ability to induce sickness in others, however she had a severe lack of control resulting in everyone in her radius to become sick.
