Voice was one of the teenagers the United Planets tried to have join the Legion of Superheroes, however after a brief demonstration of her powers she and the rest of the group of teenagers were rejected by Legion leader Lightning Lad.However after this she and the rest of the group formed the United Planets Young Heroes, which met with disastrous results.
