Za is the protector and "hero" of the Cammerans before Tanga appears. He is jealous of her powers and is interested in finding out their origins.

Weird Worlds
Za first appeared in Weird Worlds as the mysterious protector of the Cammerans on the planet Cammera. He protected the people by occasionally fighting off the monster infestation. In return he lived a lavish, luxurious life in his own palace. The Cammerans viewed Za as their god and saviour. During Tanga's first encounter with Za, he was unable to defeat the monster attack and he retreated to his palace as a result. Tanga finished off this monster and was instantly viewed as the new savior of the Cammerans.
My Greatest Adventure
Za is still healing at the beginning of My Greatest Adventure while Tanga continues to fight off the monsters in return for a space ship. Za's motives, however, are much more sinister. He would much rather have her stay on the planet until he can unlock the secrets of her powers.
