Wallflower was kidnapped as a child and trained to be part of the Bio-Technic Law (the B.T.L.). As a "Beetle", Wallflower encountered the Second Story Kid before he acquired his boots and found herself attracted to him. She also executed a young man named Charlie. These two acts haunted and caused her to question the system and were catalysts for her rebellion.

After she left the B.T.L., she asked the Second Story Kid to call her Flower. After one of Rags Murphy's rags came in contact with the wall where Charlie was executed, it became animated. The wall, now known as Checkpoint Charlie became Flower's common hangout and she became known as Wallflower.
