Blind monarch of Caumont and husband of Queen Rapunzel, he seems to very calm and submissive in nature. Whether this is as a result of his blindness (which he acquired later in life) or simply a life-long trait is unknown.

A seemingly all-around submissive guy, the King however appears to be well-loved by Rapunzel and it's likely her strength that allows them to remain in charge. Following an attack on the palace by a creature of magic, it is decided he should make a speech to the citizens to not let any being of magic thrive in the kingdom but unbeknownst to him, his message is magically implanted into listeners by his wife causing them to forcibly carry it out, implying while Rapunzel supports him, she also uses him.
He says he has not seen his own palace in years but is told it still looks the same, suggesting he wasn't always blind.
