Mr Spook is the hero of Beanworld. Seriously - that's his job title. He carries a fork. He is not a a Bean. He comes from a far off place but was sent to Beanworld to be their hero when Mr. Teach'm discovered that Beanworld did not have a hero. He doesn't remember his origin. He leads the beans in their chow raids. Yes, it is a bit odd.

But if you are unfamiliar with Beanworld, it's worth a look. It's truly a most peculiar comic experience.

Zot's Dimension 10 1/2

These appearances take place in the backmatter of Zot!, in comics that range from 1-6 pages. They take place in "Dimension 10 1/2," named after the first issue they were published in.

Zot, Woody, and Jenny visit Beanworld, where they meet Professor Garbanzo, Mr. Spook, and Beanish. Their world is going though Reality Rot. The friends want to help and after some unusual activities they go back to their world. Mr. Spook hangs out with the friends playing their role-playing game but havok ensues. Professor Garbanzo learns about junk food at Jenny’s convenience store. Beanish makes some art. They are interrupted by some creatures and authorities. Luckily the universe more or less heals itself and everyone goes home.

Later, at a movie about Zot, Mr. Spook joins various others in chasing away some villains.
