Isabella was a 16-year old runaway who lied about her age to join the circus. At The Goon's 13th birthday, she made him a man, He fell in love with her. He keeps her portrait in his wallet.

Creation

Isabella was created by Eric Powell for his first series of The Goon.

Before the Goon's 13th birthday, a low life harassed Isabella at her backdoor and the Goon beat him to a pulp with his then signature shovel. Isabella decided that day that when the Goon turned 13 she was going to make him a man, and boy did she.

Even though their paths diverted from each other the Goon has been in love ever since. The last time her saw her was during the Chinatown incident but that is something the Goon doesn't want to talk about.
