Bilbat is a descendant of Billy Batson, who when saying the magic word "Shaz" transforms into Capmarv.
Capmarv is the Champion of the Shaz and receives a visit from Billy Batson who travels through time to the year 2943. Billy Batson notices differences with his descendant, Capmarv doesn't fly and doesn't have the abilities of Achilles and Mercury. Billy convinces Bilbat to say the word "Shazam", discovering that the problem is the magic word, turning Capmarv into the hero with all the powers that Batson has. Billy Batson then goes back in time to the year 1943.
