Mr. Skeleton is given a new lease on life in the a pages of The Liberty Brigade. His codename was changed due his public domain status from Fawcett Publications, which all intellectual properties are owned by DC Comics since 1973. In his new retcon origin story, his codename changed to Herr Skeleton, who was born deformed to a high-ranking SS officer and his wife. He was spared death under the Nazi eugenics program. Instead, he was groomed to be one of Hitler's special soldier, The Aryan Skulls. He speaks English and is utterly devoted to the Nazi cause.
