Badger (1983) #10 Effigy Mound
Hodag is the leader of a local redneck group in Wisconsin called the Sons of Freedom. Hodag beat the Badger while fighting him on an Indian Effigy Mound and, as a result, was cursed. His body was mutated into half-human and half-turtle. Hodag was later returned to his original human form.
