Lupe was convicted in witchcraft in 1730 London, even though the witchhunter knew she wasn't one. She was tossed unceremoniously into a cell to wait her execution. In that cell was an old woman, who turned into a werewolf and bit Lupe. Lupe survived, and her wounds instantly healed. When the witchhunter came to confirm she still is to be executed, Lupe turned for the first time, killed the man and escaped.
