She was a tool of vengeance of Kathleen's mother. When the mother died, the construct lived on. When Hemorrhage seeked super-powered beings under the orders of Nyx, he also game to Passion. Nyx herself helped to defeat her. Hemorrhage also killed Kathleen that day. But Passion did not die just that moment, with her last movement she joined with Kathleen and now they both live on as one entity.
