Origin
Gears is a sentient alien robot from Cybertron. He journeyed to Earth with the other Autobots to protect it from the Decepticons.
Creation
Originally created for the toy line of Transformers, Gears made his first appearance in the Transformers Miniseries in 1984. This was soon thereafter followed by a monthly series of the same name.
Powers and Abilities
In his robot mode Gears is able to leap huge distances and heights when he releases bursts of compressed air from his feet.
