A devious and talented Decepticon chemist, Oil Slick specializes in weaponized compounds such as the Reverse Evolution virus and Cosmic Rust. He has little to no qualms about testing his chemical weapons on his enemies as well as his allies.

Creation
At Botcon 2008, it was revealed that Oil Slick was an original design by Eric Siebenaler that was never intended to be in the Transformers Animated TV show, but upon finding out about it, the animation crew said they would've worked him in had they been told about it. Oil Slick therefore wound up getting a story in Transformers Animated: The Arrival #3. He also had an animation model made by Irineo Maramba, and made an appearance in episode 27 of the series as part of Strika's team.
Oil Slick's somewhat odd four-wheeled cycle design is borrowed from the Dodge Tomahawk concept motorcycle, implying he can go very fast in his vehicle mode.
