Creation
Overlord made his first appearance in the 1988 Japanese animated series known as Super God Masterforce. He was an original character created for the series, and didn't have an American counterpart for several years. His official first comic appearance is therefore 2010's Last Stand of the Wreckers, where he was both drawn and written by Nick Roche, thereby bringing him into the new Transformers continuity set up by IDW Publishing.
