The Liberty Brigade

The Porcupine is given a new lease on life in the a pages of The Liberty Brigade. In his new retcon origin story, his secret identity is Carl Collins, a newspaper vendor who hatched a plan with two security guards to steal valuable gems from a local museum by hiding them in stuffed porcupine exhibit that they latter carry out of the museum, Enamored with porcupines, purchased a porcupine suit for himself and used it to betray his cohorts in an attempt to gain the jewels. Motivated by money, The Porcupine became a dangerous foe to heroes like The Zebra.
