Origin

Martha's father worked at a film studio and, after finding some left over make-up, took it home as a gift for his daughter, unaware that it had come from a horror movie and could transform whoever used it in monstrous ways. Luckily, Martha was overjoyed to discover this, and proceeded to use the make-up to play practical jokes and give bullies their come-uppance.

Creation

Martha was created by Ken Reid and first appeared in Monster Fun #1. She survived that title's demise, transferring to Buster, where her strip ran for an additional year. Decades later she reappeared in Albion, with the older Martha now enjoying a relationship with the equally transformative Faceache.
