Origin

Barb is a regular at Meg's Bar and while there she has heard Gert ramble about Fairyland too many times to count.

Creation

Barb was created by Skottie Young for his series I Hate Fairyland.

While at her favorite hangout, Meg's Bar, Barb is enjoying her beer, when Gert starts ranting about Fairyland again. This time Barb had enough and told Gert to knock off the fairy tale story, and act which Gert takes offence to and breaks a beer bottle over Barb's head. Barb being the woman that she is, doesn't even flinch at the attack, but just stands up and beats the fluffing tar out of Gert and throws her out of the Meg's. She leaves Gert with the parting message; it is time for her to find a new bar.
