Carl Bulloch resented Crossjack for leaving his hometown of Farmington, Wisconsin. Willing to prove himself better than Crossjack, Carl murdered Crossjack's archenemy the Hodag and later the criminal Frightside, before confronting Crossjack himself. He was shot to death by Inga Bucholz.
