Major Story Arcs

Marilyn Monroe

In 1962, Huck was sent on a different kind of mission than his usual tulpa hunts. He was asked to check in on Hollywood icon, Marilyn Monroe. She has spiraled into depression and substance abuse after she sang Happy Birthday to President Kennedy. The unique way that she sang it started rumors of an affair. So many people believed it that she was plagued by dreams and memories of the incident as if it actually happened.

Huck was surprised when he arrived at her manor and recognized her as a tulpa. She admitted to seeing Babalon in the mirror and aliens in her backyard. Huck complained to Director Capra that she wasn't some monster but a person, and the rules should be different. Capra disagreed. Huck couldn't bring himself to kill her even though Marilyn knew and seemed at peace with the idea.

Ultimately, she killed herself to spare Huck the responsibility.

Elvis Pressly

In 1977, Huck was assigned to check in on Elvis Presley. Capra was worried that the Russians were getting close to him. Instead, Huck found him as a fourth type of fiction, the first of its kind. His power levels and appearance were wild and erratic. While they were getting to know each other, members of the Ministry of Lies raided Graceland.

Huck and Elvis were able to take the task force out, revealing each of the masked men looked like Elvis. One Russian asset explained that the Ministry of Lies had been spreading rumors and lies about Elvis as if he was the king of America, hoping to damage the American dream through its most popular avatar. This resulted in a blowback on Elvis which caused him to become the wildest fiction.
