Jacket Sportello
Housekeeper of Ernest Hemingway, a famous author.
Jacket introduces himself as the caretaker of the author Ernest Hemingway's house, located in Key West, a city in Florida less than 2 hours drive from Santo Pedro. He works with Mary Tsukumary for the Chimera agency, his ex-wife. They have a little girl in shared custody.
His team of spy cats noticed a break-in at the house and immobilized the suspect, Ivory. Jacket understood that he had been forced to come and steal an important book under the threat of a killer vampire waiting for him outside. Instead of calling the police and acting as others would have done, Jacket simply talked to Ivory, as a father would have done for his son.
The vampire, impatient, transformed into something more monstrous and attacked Ivory and Jacket. Ivory saw his inner wolf take over and had made the vampire his own.
Jacket, surprised to see that Ivory could transform like this, tells him that it's a Roggenwolf. It is a beast that feeds mainly on children, and that likes to imitate its prey to attract and torture them. We learn that Jacket is a former specialist in people who have unorthodox lifestyles and he has kept some interesting objects. He will give Ivory a collar that will allow him to contain the Roggenwolf, which he never manages to do by himself. After Ivory leaves, he will inform Mary that Ivory is part of the same family as Gray.
